Preparing for the Challenges of B2B Logistics

B2B logistics is moving faster than ever and faces increasing challenges: complex operations, demanding customers, and the need for efficiency and traceability. In this dynamic environment, Keylogistics takes an important step forward with the creation of the Innovation and Technology Projects Management, aiming to strengthen what already works, continuously improve its processes, and prepare the company for the challenges ahead. Innovation and technology thus become strategic allies to anticipate and adapt to an increasingly demanding future.

A New Management Area to Drive Technological Development

My name is Salah Karaki, and I am taking on the challenge of leading the new Innovation and Technology Projects Management at Keylogistics. This management area is being created as part of the company’s growth and maturation process, with the objective of deepening the use of technology and strengthening the development of logistics solutions aligned with the business.

The decision to incorporate this role responds to a strategic vision from senior management, aimed at preparing the organization for an increasingly demanding logistics environment, leveraging the operational experience accumulated over the years and advancing toward new levels of efficiency, digitalization, and scalability.

Keylogistics is evolving from a logistics operator into a technology-driven logistics partner. By integrating innovation, artificial intelligence, and internal development capabilities, we aim to deliver smarter operations and greater flexibility for our clients while building a culture of continuous improvement.

My professional career has been closely linked to the logistics industry, leading innovation, technology, and project management initiatives focused on improving operations and generating real impact on business results. From this role, the focus is to support the company’s evolution by aligning technology, processes, and business strategy.

Innovation Management Focused on Value

One of the main objectives of this new management area is to design and implement an innovation management systemthat transforms technological initiatives into concrete business results, addressing innovation as a permanent organizational capability rather than isolated efforts.
This system focuses on two key impact components. On one hand, it aims to contribute directly to EBITDA through initiatives oriented toward operational efficiency, cost optimization, productivity improvements, and strengthening service levels. On the other hand, it seeks to build and consolidate a culture of innovation, promoting a structured, collaborative, and continuous improvement-oriented way of working, where innovation becomes part of the organization’s daily activities.

Management will be articulated through a portfolio of innovation projects, aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and governed in a disciplined manner. Initiatives are evaluated, prioritized, and managed using a stage & gate methodology, enabling progressive advancement, risk reduction, optimized resource allocation, and ensuring that each project justifies its continuation based on its expected impact and achieved results.

Early Adoption of Artificial Intelligence as a Competitive Advantage

The Innovation and Technology Projects Management promotes an explicit strategy of early adoption of Artificial Intelligence tools, understood as a key enabler to accelerate technological development and increase the efficiency of the B2B logistics business.

The focus is not on theoretical experimentation, but rather on rapidly incorporating new AI capabilities into internal processes, particularly in software development, with the goal of reducing delivery cycles, improving technical quality, and maximizing team productivity. AI is integrated into the workflow, supporting functional analysis, assisted code generation, testing, and documentation, always under the control and judgment of the team.

This approach allows the company to quickly capitalize on the advantages of these technologies, strengthen internal capabilities, and maintain an active position in the face of technological evolution, using AI as a concrete tool to scale, adapt, and compete in an increasingly demanding logistics environment.

In-House Technology Development, Internal Capabilities, and Hyperflexibility

As part of this strategy, a clear line of in-house technological development is being promoted, aimed at consolidating and evolving the software solutions that support logistics operations, directly leveraging the operational and business know-how accumulated by the company.

This approach allows the development of solutions deeply aligned with operational realities and enables a high level of hyperflexibility in responding to client requirements, adapting processes, functionalities, and integrations in an agile way, and quickly responding to specific needs or changes in their operating models. The close relationship between operations, technology, and the client thus becomes a concrete competitive advantage.

Within this context, the company is advancing in building a stronger software development team, with greater technical, architectural, and management capabilities, prepared to address new business needs and to design, implement, and sustain more modern, scalable, and resilient technology platforms. These capabilities will allow Keylogistics to support its growth and move toward the next level of technological maturity.

Personal Commitment and an Invitation to Innovate Together

I take on this challenge with strong conviction and a genuine desire to do things right. I firmly believe that technology only makes sense when it helps people, improves operations, and solves real problems.

What motivates me is working closely with teams and clients, understanding how they experience operations on a daily basis, and building solutions that truly make a difference. For me, innovation is neither a trend nor a slogan: it is about listening, testing, failing fast, and improving.

For that reason, the invitation is open and sincere: let’s build this together. I invite our clients to sit down with us, challenge the status quo, and co-create solutions that make logistics simpler, more efficient, and more reliable. At Keylogistics, we are ready to take that step—with humility, commitment, and a strong desire to move forward.
